840 N. Beville Avenue is one of 26 houses built or restored and sold in NEAR’s “Phase I” project in 2010-2013. Each house received HUD subsidies through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) that were critical to stabilize and revitalize the neighborhood and that required house-buyer incomes to be at or below 120% of Area Median Income (AMI). House prices ranged from $80,000 to $135,000. NEAR only develops vacant or abandoned properties and works to make homeownership affordable for low to moderate income households.
